NAELPA Annual National Conference
NAELPA's 2021 Annual National Conference was virtual this year!
Conference Theme: Defining the Role of EL Program Administrators in These Changing Times
This year has brought big changes for the 2021 NAELPA Annual Conference. The Coronavirus pandemic has resulted in many conferences either being canceled or shifting to some form of virtual format or virtual plus limited in-person format. Due to the uncertainty of NAELPA’s ability to meet in-person and for the safety of the NAELPA membership, the NAELPA Executive Board made the difficult decision to shift the 2021 NAELPA Annual Conference to a 100% virtual format. This was a significant shift for the organization, and we hope to once again meet in-person in 2022. We felt that this shift was necessary in order to facilitate planning and to ensure our members safely benefit from the professional learning opportunity the NAELPA Annual Conference offers.
Here are a few highlights from the 2020-2021 NAELPA Annual Conference:
- NAELPA’s conference took place over the course of five week and included 4 virtual presentations, one per week, leading up to the day of the conference.
- The final day of the conference took place on April 27, 2021, and included updates from the a message from U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona, U.S. Department of Education, presentations, and breakout sessions.
- Virtual presentations prior to the day of the conference as well as the day of the conference keynote and breakout sessions were recorded and are available to conference attendees.
Sponsorship opportunities were available to entities and organizations interested in supporting NAELPA and the 2021 NAELPA Conference. The 2021 NAELPA Conference was presented virtually, with four weekly virtual presentation leading up to the day of the conference, April 27, 2021. Because of the virtual nature of the 2021 NAELPA Conference, sponsorship opportunities were adjusted to fit this venue.
